Explore Early American History in Boston
Description
After the sold-out success of last year, Sattler College is thrilled to present our 3rd annual Discover Boston!
Discover Boston is a summer experience for students ages 15–18 that brings early American history to life through on-location learning. Over several days, students will explore the people, ideas, and events that shaped the founding of the United States by studying them in the very places they occurred.
Students will stay at the Sattler Dorms, located in the historic Back-bay neighborhood in Boston.
Together, we will walk the Freedom Trail, examine key moments of the American Revolution, and consider the religious and moral vision of early settlers who spoke of Boston as a “city on a hill.” Students will learn about figures such as Paul Revere, Benjamin Franklin, and George Whitefield, and explore how faith, preaching, and public life intersected in early America.
Room and board is provided in our Sattler dormitory
Who: Teenagers aged 15-18.
When: Arrive in Boston on Wednesday evening, July 8 and return home on Saturday morning, July 11th.
Note: Scheduled activities end on the evening of Friday, July 10th. Students may choose to go home at that time if they have transportation.
